The Bird Cape attaches around your neck with velcro strips so it covers your shoulders and torso. It is a really effective way of protecting you from poop, all types of mess, sharp claws and it also does a dandy job protecting the buttons of your clothes from the attention of over-curious pets. It comes with a pocket that is handy for hiding treats in and it is pre-equipped with two wooden bell-toys that hang from the two loops in front of the Bird Cape. There are also clips where the Short Lanyard can be attached to, 
 
The Short Lanyard is about 44cm long in total and has a small loop at one end, which goes around the birds leg and the other end has a small clip that can be attached to the Bird Cape.
