When you visit our portal, you share personal information with us which enables you to buy goods offered on our website. This action automatically gives us permission to use this information to carry out the necessary functions required to conclude the requested transactions.

We do not presently associate such information with an identifiable person and is it is used for internal analytical and reporting purposes.
  • Financial information relating to your credit cards or bank accounts is never taken by us either through our website or otherwise. At the point of payment, you are transferred to a secure page on the website of a reputable payment service provider. Our staff and contractors never have access to it.
  • In some instances, third parties may advertise on our web site. They may also use other technology such as cookies or JavaScript to personalise the content of, and to measure the performance of their adverts.   • We do obtain information from third parties in the form of data which is indirectly made up from your personal information, from software services such as Google Analytics and others.
  • When you send us any information on email or any direct messaging service or call us, we collect this contact information. We use this information for analytical, marketing, and promotional purposes as well as to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services and to improve your experience on our website. 
  • Personal information like your name, address, and contact information collected is also used for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfilment of our contract with you, to provide you with the services which you request and for legal purposes such as legal requests, enforcing our Terms and Conditions, contractual obligations and disclosure to Government or their agencies to comply with applicable laws.
  • Personal information is used to verify your identity for security purposes and it is also used to send you information for administrative purposes.
  • Personal information is used for managing and fulfilling orders.
  • We collect information to protect and monitor our systems and procedures to prevent fraud or other possible illegal activities. This could be to investigate or prevent actions that could involve potential threats to the safety of our business or any person.

The POPI Act. 

We respect your right to privacy and therefore aim to ensure that we comply with the legal requirement of the POPI Act which regulates the way we collect, process, store, share and destroy any personal information which you have provided to us.

Minors

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age (minor), we will require the consent of your parent/guardian/competent person before we process such personal information. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.

Collection of information with "Cookies"

To safeguard your information, we will take necessary and reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections to your information. We will respond to your request as soon as possible but within 30 days.
  • Lodge a complaint with the company.

Once you have done this, you will then be un-subscribed from all the relevant marketing lists and removed from them. Should you however retain your account we will still need to send you service-related emails and direct messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account. If you choose to close your account, we will then deactivate your details and remove all relevant data from our active data bases. Some information and data may be retained to comply with any legal requirements or to enforce our Terms and Conditions.

General

  • We undertake to preserve the confidentiality of the information you have given us to the best of our ability. We have technical security measures in place that aim to protect your personal information. Although we will make every effort to ensure that your data and personal information is protected It is not possible for us to guarantee that the internet is totally safe, and we thus strongly advise you to only access services within a secure environment. Furthermore, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage, howsoever arising, suffered because of the disclosure of such information if beyond our reasonable control.
  • Our web site is hosted in the United Kingdom. We also use outsourced services in other countries outside of South Africa to conduct certain business activities. Accordingly, data obtained within South Africa may be processed in countries other than South Africa.
