Survive/Polyaid

One of the most stressful situations you can find yourself in is when your bird is too sick to eat. Survive/Polyaid from the Bird Company in the UK acts as emergency nutrition for sick birds as it stops them from starving long enough for them to regain their appetite.

It is a product that essentially provides critical nutrients in a concentrated direct dose. It has rapisorb nutrients plus digestive support and immune boosting ingredients. It contains sustained release carbohydrates (for ongoing energy), probotics (to restore gut flora), essential proteins, vitamins and electrolytes to (assist in recovery). It is easy for the bird to absorb when it's gut may not be working well and is best administered by crop tube if the bird is too ill to eat on its own. It can make up to 100% of the diet in very sick birds. 

Use it only when starvation is a concern. Please always remember to consult your Vet before adding anything to your birds diet.

Directions: Add 1,5mL of water to every 3g of Survive/PolyAid. 3g (one level 5ml spoon) per 60g of bodyweight twice per day.  Do not use in conjunction with any other vitamins and minerals.

I rescued a female pheasant that i saw when it was hit by a car, took it home thinking it could die, as she started to come round no matter what I gave her to eat she wouldn't touch, after 2 days I syringe fed her with Survive/Polyaid and within 24 hours she started to pick up, I kept going for another 24 hrs and that was enough to keep her going, she regained her appetite and is currently back in the countryside, rather than starved to death.
